5 Powerful Outcomes When You Optimize Your Leadership
As you navigate the chaos and change that most leaders are facing, you may be asking yourself, “is there another, better way to lead that doesn’t deplete me?”
At TLI, we believe there is, in fact, a better way to lead. We believe that when leaders are fully optimized, they are able to experience leadership in a completely new way without the overwhelm, frustration and challenges that seem inherent in the role.
I’d like to ask you an important question: What would be different if you were able to optimize your leadership and lead in a completely new way that actually energizes you rather than depletes you?
In our most recent delivery of our “Optimize Your Leadership: Perform Better and Feel Better with Science-Based Tools” program [link], participants found that focusing on optimizing rather than simply “getting by” made a significant difference in how they were leading and the results they were able to create.
Here are five things that happen when you optimize your leadership:
1. You increase your focus
You are able to bring a new level of focus to your vision, strategy and goals. You also offer others your focus so you can engage in better problem-solving, collaboration and leadership. When you are not optimized, you are unfocused, scattered and unhelpful to those around you.
2. You are more able to innovate
When you have optimized how you are operating each day as a leader, you have “fuel in the tank” to actually innovate and think outside the box to solve problems in new ways. When you are not optimized, having additional bandwidth to innovate is nearly impossible.
3. You increase your influence and impact
As you optimize your leadership, you bring more focus, intention and presence to your interactions. You are more “in control” of how you are operating which allows others to perceive you are confident and credible. When you are not optimized, people may see you as lacking the strength and confidence needed to be influential.
4. You improve your performance
When you are at the top of your game, fully optimized and equipped with proven science-based tools, you will see accelerated performance for yourself and your team. You will bring more vision, strategic thinking and focus to everything you work on. When you are not optimized, it’s very difficult to accelerate performance without the push and grind that will deplete you and your team.
5. You feel better, much better
As you improve your focus, increase innovation, become more influential and improve your performance, you will naturally feel better. And, when you integrate the TLI tools and practices into your daily life as a leader, you will feel much better. If you do not focus on optimizing your leadership, you will continue to feel reactive, overwhelmed and depleted.
